You will not have to be buying any more coffee filters. This coffee maker has a permanent coffee filter that you can take out and clean simply by running water through it at the kitchen sink. In a hurry and forget to turn off the coffee maker? Don't worry! It will turn off for you two hours after the coffee is finished being made. This same automatic turn off will also turn off if the coffee starts to boil or if it is plugged while dry. The glass carafe is built straight up and down so avoid being damaged from extended width. Hand washing is recommended for this coffee maker.
